The Florida Highway Patrol verified the unfortunate death of 20-year-old Liliana Escobedo as a result of a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of U.S. 17 and Prevatt Road in Seville, occurring at approximately 8 a.m. Following the incident, Escobedo’s family members arrived at the scene.
One family member Kassandra Martinez said that, “She will always be remembered, and she will hold a special place in all of our hearts for the amazing person she was.”
Authorities are currently probing the crash’s details, confirming it encompassed three vehicles.
According to FHP, Escobedo struggled to navigate a turn. Upon attempting to re-enter her lane, she collided with a car approaching from the opposite direction.
The roadway remained shut down for approximately four hours as traffic homicide investigators reconstructed the events.
Escobedo’s loved ones mentioned she had recently dropped off her one-year-old son at daycare. Although he’s likely too young to recollect his mother or comprehend the situation, Escobedo’s family is determined to ensure her memory endures.
“As a family, we will make sure to always have that legacy of her,” Martinez stated. “So, he’s gonna grow up to know what an amazing mother he had.”
Regarding the other individuals involved in the accident, the Florida Highway Patrol reported that one person was taken to Halifax Medical Center for treatment, while the third person emerged unharmed.
