Police say a guy in Pennsylvania killed his girlfriend by stabbing her in a crazed attack that began because he didn’t like her new hairstyle.
Authorities in Lancaster County reported that on Sunday afternoon, Benjamin Garcia Gual was taken into custody and charged with Carmen Martinez-Silva’s murder after he allegedly pursued her to her brother’s home in East Hempfield Township.
According to court documents cited by PennLive, Gual, 49, allegedly stabbed his girlfriend, 50, with a knife because he was angry that she had chopped off her hair.
Martinez-Silva told investigators that he threatened to stab her mother because of it, making her spend the night at the daughter’s house.
According to the probable cause affidavit, Martinez-Silva asked a friend to inform Gual that the relationship was over when she went by her brother’s house after leaving her daughter’s.
Gual went to Martinez-Silva’s brother’s house to try to talk to his fiancée after he was unable to be located at his mobile home.
When he returned a second time a few minutes later, the brother allegedly began stabbing the sibling after initially telling the alleged killer she wasn’t there.

The complaint claims that once Martinez-Silva stepped in, her boyfriend allegedly began hurling violent attacks at her.
Police discovered Martinez-Silva dead at the scene, and her brother was stabbed several times. According to authorities, the guy almost stabbed two additional people who were attempting to stop the stabbing spree.
According to documents, police discovered Gual still at the scene in his car with a “knife in hand” and blood on it. According to a local news outlet, he is charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, homicide, and attempted homicide.
He is being held without bail at the Lancaster prison.
