After someone stabbed a nurse inside a hospital on Wednesday, injuring multiple other people, Philadelphia police are currently conducting an investigation.
At approximately 4:30 p.m., it took place at the Episcopal Campus of Temple University Hospital, situated in the Kensington neighborhood of the city on the 100 block of E. Lehigh Avenue.
A 39-year-old guy apparently had overdose signs, and police indicate that he was rushed to the emergency department.
Police said that while the man was receiving treatment in the emergency room, he managed to obtain the nurse’s hypodermic needle and used it to stab two other nurses and a security guard in the arm.
The guy also attacked a second nurse and a security guard during the struggle. Four people were hurt in all in the incident. All are classed as stable, according to the police.
