According to the Jacksonville Beach Police Department, multiple shooters are apparently on the run and three people have reportedly been shot in downtown Jacksonville Beach, with one person died.

On its Facebook page, JBPD posted a message advising everyone to stay indoors during this period.The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department reports that three people were shot at the scene. Their states differ; one is said to have passed away, one is in critical condition, and the third has non-life-threatening wounds.
According to reports, one was shot in the Sneakers parking lot and is in severe condition right now. At 2nd Ave. North, there were apparently two more shots fired.
On Monday, March 18, at 8:00 a.m., there will be a media briefing about the active shooter incident.
