According to the City of Radford, two people have been detained in relation to a stolen car case from Richmond and a missing juvenile investigation from Delaware. A juvenile has also been found.

Radford Police Department officers were called to the 1800 block of Smith Avenue at 6:54 a.m. on Thursday, according to the city, following complaints of a suspicious individual. A disabled car with two young people and an adult female inside was discovered on the scene.

Officers discovered throughout their investigation that the car had reportedly been reported stolen from Bedford County.

After providing officers with a fictitious identification, the woman was subsequently recognized as Kacheri Blount, and it was discovered that she was sought in Richmond on four felony and six misdemeanor warrants.

Blount was placed under arrest due to pending local indictments and outstanding warrants in Richmond.

Officers discovered later in their investigation that one of the children and the car was purportedly related to a Delaware missing person case. In what is thought to be a “extensive” attempt to conceal their identity, the young person was apparently disguising themselves as someone of the other gender.

Ieisha Allen, a second person thought to be implicated, was discovered on the Preston Street 2000 block.

Allen was taken into custody and is accused of the following:

  • Contributing to a minor’s delinquency
  • Keeping a concealed weapon on oneself

“The quick thinking and determination of our officers led to the safe recovery of a missing juvenile and the arrest of two individuals with multiple charges. Their ability to piece together critical information under pressure was instrumental in resolving this situation. I am proud of their dedication to keeping our community safe.” – as per Operations Captain, J.L. Slaughter
