Police are looking into whether the perpetrator may have attacked five more people since Thursday morning after five people were stabbed in an ostensibly random attack in Seattle on Friday.
Police and a representative for Harborview Medical Center stated Friday that two persons were critically injured during the attack that took place in the city’s Chinatown-International District at approximately 2:00 p.m.
Since Thursday morning, five more persons have been stabbed in other incidents in the same region. According to Eric Barden, deputy chief of police in Seattle, the attacks are comparable in terms of their unpredictability and the attacker’s description.
“It’s certainly plausible that the suspect involved in today’s stabbing is the same suspect involved with the previous five incidents, but the investigation is ongoing,” Barden stated.
Just up the hill from the scene of the attacks, the suspect was taken into custody, according to Barden, who claimed that police were trying to identify him on Friday. According to authorities, he will be charged with assault.
A knife was left in one of the victims who was transported to the hospital, and a weapon was discovered close to him.
After Friday’s stabbings, four persons were admitted to the hospital in critical condition; however, by the evening, two of them remained in critical condition, one was in serious condition, and one was satisfactory, according to a hospital spokesperson. According to authorities, a fifth stabbing victim received on-scene treatment.
A 52-year-old lady was stabbed several times at 1:30 a.m. in the other stabbings. Thursday, and between then and Friday’s mass stabbing, four more persons were stabbed in different instances, according to Barden.
“The arbitrary nature of these assaults makes it likely that these are similar,” Barden stated.

He claimed that while the other five stabbings were random, one of them involved a theft in which a cell phone was stolen. There have been no fatalities.
According to authorities, four of the five previous incidents took place on Thursday. Along with the woman, someone unlocked the door of a guy’s automobile and attempted to stab him in the chest, stabbing a 32-year-old male at 12:19 p.m., a 37-year-old man at 8 p.m., and a 60-year-old man at 8:39 p.m.
According to authorities, a 53-year-old male was also stabbed in the neck at around one in the morning on Friday.
