Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) stated on Wednesday that he might soon make public the “crime” that will justify the impeachment of President Joe Biden, but few believed it would ever come to pass.
Some news reports referred to the discussion between the Kentucky Republican and Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) during a meeting of the House Oversight Committee, which Comer leads, as “testy” and “spicy.”
Comer’s investigation into the Biden family has not produced a single crime that meets the “high crimes and misdemeanors” threshold for impeachment, which infuriated Raskin.

“What is the crime that you want to impeach Joe Biden for and keep this nonsense going? Why? What is the crime? Tell America right now!” Raskin said.
Comer retorted: “You’re about to find out. You’re about to find out very soon.”
Comer has often promised to provide evidence of Biden’s crimes in the near future, but he has never done so. Despite the lack of evidence against Biden, Democratic members of the committee, including Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-Fla.), have dared Comer to propose an impeachment vote.
It should come as no surprise that Comer’s remark to Raskin sparked widespread trolling, even among Congressmen.
