DELRAY BEACH, Fla. – According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the deceased person whose corpse was discovered floating face down in a canal near Delray Beach was identified as Brian Yoder.
According to a story that was broadcast on Friday by CBS12 News, Yoder was reported missing on Thursday after leaving the Inspired Living Assisted Living Facility at about 8:15 p.m. and walked away.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said that he was given a diagnosis of dementia.
According to the Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, a 911 call was received at around 7:45 a.m. on Friday, and units from the Palm Beach County Fire Rescue were deployed to the area of 14466 El Chair Ranch Road between Sunrise Point Court and Winding Brooke Way.
Yoder was found by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, who had arrived at the scene, floating face down in a canal, according to the fire department.
