MIAMI – Authorities confirmed that a 64-year-old lady was hit by a car while walking in the city of Miami on Wednesday morning.
Around 6 a.m., the crash was reported near Northwest 17th Avenue and 60th Street.
Authorities said that Initha Lipscomb was crossing the roadway when a blue Toyota motorist hit her.
Police reported that the vehicle didn’t stop to help and ran away while driving north on 17th Avenue.
Authorities say Lipscomb ended up at the front entrance of the My Little Kitchen (MLK) restaurant in Miami following the crash.
She was rushed to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital in stable condition. It’s probable that her legs and hip were hurt.
Maurice Darling, Lipscomb’s son, reported that she was on her way to his house when the thing happened.
He added, “I think she was on her way to my house this morning because we had some things to do.”
Darling told Local 10 News that he still can’t believe that no one had the guts to stop and check on his mother.
No other information was given right away.
