JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, a lady was fatally shot at a residence located on Norfolk Boulevard in the afternoon on Thursday.
After receiving many calls to 911, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in the Sherwood Forest area just before 3 p.m. and discovered a lady who had been shot multiple times.
She was rushed to the hospital, but she passed away while being operated on.
The perpetrator of the shooting was one of the people who called 911. He is now helping the police with their investigation and was detained for interrogation.
At the time when the shooting took place, there were no other residents of the home on the premises. The police think there was no other person engaged in this crime and have said that it was an isolated occurrence.
The lady and the gunman were claimed to have known one other by the JSO, although the nature of their connection is unknown.
