Shooting Incident Shakes Miami's Streets, One Dead and Two Injured

A double shooting occurred on Northwest 27th Avenue, causing major traffic disruptions during Miami-Dade’s morning rush hour on Tuesday.

The incident, which took place at 6:04 a.m., resulted in the closure of the southbound side of the avenue from Northwest 79th to 75th streets. A car involved in the shooting crashed near a bus bench in this area.

Additionally, the avenue was closed from Northwest 87th to 88th streets, where police discovered bullet casings at a gas station.

According to Miami-Dade police, occupants of two cars engaged in gunfire while traveling down Unity Boulevard.

The driver of one car was taken to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds.

The driver of the crashed car did not sustain gunshot wounds and was transported to a hospital in stable condition.

Tragically, the other passenger in the crashed car was shot and succumbed to their injuries on the street.

To summarize, this incident involved two cars, resulting in two individuals being shot and one fatality. However, there has been no information provided by witnesses or those involved.

“All parties are not cooperative,” wrote Miami-Dade police Detective Argemis Colome in an email.
