In relation to a string of brutal food truck robberies that occurred in the San Fernando Valley, a man was taken into custody.
Los Angeles resident Jesus Garcia-Sotelo, 22, is charged with participating in eight armed robberies between September 8 and September 21.
The Los Angeles Police Department reports that seven food trucks and one 7-Eleven store were the targets of armed robberies that took place in the neighborhoods of North Hollywood, Foothill, Mission, and Van Nuys.
Detectives and gang enforcement officers executed a search warrant at Garcia-Sotelo’s residence on October 16.
Clothes worn by the suspect in each of the eight robberies were discovered during the search. The LAPD also seized one of the suspect’s cars, which was connected to other crimes under investigation.
Garcia-Sotelo is being jailed without bail after being arrested on robbery accusations.

Ten counts of robbery and ten counts of assault with a firearm were filed in the case by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office on October 17.
“Due to how spread out these crimes were, detectives believe there may be additional victims across the San Fernando Valley that have not come forward,” authorities stated.
