TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – One individual has been taken into custody by the Tallahassee Police Department in connection to a fatal shooting that took place on Thursday evening shortly after 7 o’clock.
The Toronto Police Department has stated that the victim was shot by Walter Massey when he was sitting in his vehicle on Kux Avenue.
The man then got behind the wheel of his vehicle and drove himself to a nearby hospital before getting into an accident close to where Midyette Road and Capital Circle Southeast connect. The victim reported to responding cops that Massey was the one who shot him when they arrived.
Investigators acquired a search warrant and discovered evidence suggesting that the shooting occurred on Kux Avenue during the course of a cocaine deal.
The 32-year-old suspect, Walter Massey, was taken into custody and charged with two counts of second-degree murder, as well as trafficking a controlled narcotic and possessing a firearm while being a convicted felon.
Following a shooting, the Tallahassee Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into a possible homicide.
According to the information provided by TPD, the collision took place at approximately 7 o’clock in the evening near the intersection of Capital Circle Southeast and Midyette Road.
The victim, an adult male, had been shot prior to the collision, and he was attempting to drive his vehicle at the time of the collision. According to the Tennessee Police Department, the victim was taken to a nearby hospital after being shot, however, he did not survive the injuries he got as a result of the shooting.
The investigation being conducted by the police department is aimed at determining the location of the gunshot.
