Police said a guy who works as an Uber driver entered Hard Rock Stadium on Friday to attend the Taylor Swift Eras Tour by posing as a security guard.
On suspicion of impersonating an official falsely and interfering with a sporting or entertainment event, authorities detained Ivan Mariotti, 44, of Key Biscayne.
At about 8:30 p.m., real security guards alerted Miami-Dade police to the presence of a guy, later identified as Mariotti, “dressed in a suit wearing a badge over his neck, near the floor/field area of the venue,” according to an arrest report.
According to the authorities, Mariotti was located a short while later and taken to the stadium’s tunnel area for interrogation.
Mariotti told the policeman “that he was hired by four women to work as a security guard and he escorted said women onto (the) property and to their respective seats,” according to the arrest report.
According to authorities, Mariotti claimed he entered the concert without a ticket since he was a security officer.
Mariotti presented identification and claimed to be employed by Saint Security, according to the authorities. According to the police, they requested him to identify his clientele.
According to the police, two women they spoke with informed them that their aunt had hired a driver for the night.
According to the report, one of the women informed the police that she “did not know why her driver had a badge, as her aunt confirmed that she hired a driver and not a private security guard.”
