A teen from New Hampshire bravely leaped into a wayward boat from a jet ski during a sailing lesson to prevent it from spinning uncontrolled in a well-known lake.
According to WMUR-TV, Brady Procon, 17, acted quickly on Wednesday after learning from his father, Justin, that an unattended boat was circling about at high speed in Smith’s Cove on Lake Winnipesaukee.
“I was sitting on the porch, and my dad yelled that there was an out-of-control boat in the wake zone,” Procon stated.
While instructing children from the sailboat, a teacher leaned over to retrieve a tennis ball that was being used to demonstrate turning. One of the children’s boats toppled over onto the instructor’s boat in that fleeting instant.
The student’s sailboat’s mast caught the throttle, launching him into the sea and causing the craft to spiral out of control.
Before the teenager boarded his neighbor Justin King’s jet ski and made the audacious plunge, Procon and other neighbors promptly assisted in getting the children out of harm’s way.
In the footage, King is seen guiding the teenager nearly to the rogue boat when Procon leaps on board and cuts the throttle, putting a stop to the tumultuous scenario.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported during the occurrence.
The bold teenager claimed he was just doing what had to be done to put an end to the issue and didn’t think about the risk when he made the jump.
“If it hit that dock, it would have ricocheted off and probably hit somebody’s house, dock, or people,” the teen stated.

Procon feels that “anyone would have done that if they had that opportunity to do it.” Procon has been hailed as a hero by the community for putting himself in danger.
The teenager, who is scheduled to leave for Navy boot camp in the fall, remarked, “They were calling me a hero, and all that, but I wouldn’t say I’m a hero.”
“To be in any military branch you have to have bravery I guess, I wouldn’t even count what I did as brave, but some sort of don’t think, just do.”
