A 15-year-old teenager from Florida has been apprehended in connection with a drive-by shooting that resulted in the deaths of a 6-year-old girl and a 19-year-old man.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, August 29th, 2023, around 8:20 p.m., prompting a response from Orlando Police officers to 1141 Poppy Ave. Reports indicated that multiple shots were fired from a passing vehicle, injuring two individuals.
Tragically, one of the victims was a 6-year-old child who was shot while inside her living room.
Medical personnel later pronounced her deceased. The mother of the 6-year-old also suffered gunshot wounds but survived with non-life-threatening injuries.
A third victim, who had been shot, arrived at Health Central in Ocoee and was also declared deceased by medical staff. The two individuals who lost their lives were identified as 6-year-old Ajahliyah Hashim and 19-year-old Isaiyah Wright.
On September 2nd, 2023, authorities arrested 15-year-old Nico Brown on charges of First Degree Homicide in connection to the shooting deaths of both victims.
