OKEECHOBEE, Fla. — The Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office reports that a man died from a significant head injury after officers suspect he was hit by a train. The injuries caused the guy to die.
The Okeechobee Fire Rescue got a phone report on Tuesday about a guy who was bleeding from his head near the railroad trucks around NE 14th St, according to the sheriff’s office.
The individual was located near the area.
The head injuries seemed to be consistent with the victim having been hit by a train, according to the rescue professionals who were present at the site.
According to the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office, despite the best efforts of fire rescue personnel, the victim was pronounced dead at the site of the accident.
