A man was fatally shot on Thursday evening at an apartment complex in Orlando, according to the police. Around 6 p.m., officers were called to Dover Gardens Apartments off Curry Ford Road following a report of a shooting.
Upon arriving at the scene, they discovered a gunshot victim. The Orlando Fire Department arrived to assist the victim, but unfortunately, they were pronounced dead.
The precise location of the shooting within the complex was not disclosed by the Orlando Police Department.
As of 4 a.m. on Friday, Orlando Police Department units were still present at the scene. A department spokesperson indicated that the homicide investigation was ongoing, and officers were actively searching the area.
When questioned, the police asserted that there was no imminent threat to the public and suggested that the shooting seemed to be an isolated incident.
Although no specific information about a suspect was available, the department expected to release more details later on Friday morning.
