Within close proximity to the Valencia Way Apartments, located in the Hillcrest district of Jacksonville, a young person was shot and killed, resulting in their death.
The body of the victim was found on the sidewalk, and a medical examiner determined that they were already dead at the site.
It is currently unknown what led to the shooting, and there have been no people taken into custody as a result of the investigation.
Concern has been voiced by locals regarding the high number of incidents involving gunfire that have taken place in the vicinity.
A teenage boy was fatally shot in Jacksonville’s Hillcrest area. The incident took place at 1214 Labelle St., near building 26 of Valencia Way Apartments.
The victim, aged between 17 and 18, was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds on the sidewalk. The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department confirmed the teen’s passing at the scene.
