According to Florida authorities, two ladies were taken into custody on Friday in relation to the murder of a photographer that was partially livestreamed on social media.

Lauren Ashley Martin, a photographer, was shot and murdered Tuesday night outside of a Sanford home after an argument. Lakevia Davonna Pringle, 31, and Savon Chantay Tyler, 35, were arrested and charged in connection with her death.

According to Sanford police, Martin and Tyler had been engaged in a continuous quarrel. According to an amended arrest report for Tyler, Martin allegedly livestreamed herself driving to Tyler’s house the night of the shooting in order to confront her.

According to the complaint, Tyler informed detectives that she observed Martin’s livestream and left her house with a gun and a child’s baseball bat. According to the report, she put the gun away before Martin arrived at Tyler’s house.

According to the police report, Tyler claimed that she struck Martin with the bat during the altercation, and Martin allegedly snatched it and stole it from her. According to the report, Martin then allegedly brought the bat up to Tyler. According to Tyler, she reached for her gun and shot Martin twice.

According to authorities, Martin, 34, was discovered lying on the road with many gunshot wounds. She was rushed to the hospital, where she passed away.

She was a photographer, and there had been a dispute over pictures Martin took of Tyler, according to Martin’s family, who spoke to WESH of Daytona Beach.

“A family is mourning the loss of a loved one, because someone chose to resolve a disagreement with violence,” Sanford Police Chief Cecil Smith stated. “What started the argument between these two won’t be remembered, but the loss of Lauren will forever be with her family and friends. There are choices other than violence.”

Tyler’s girlfriend Pringle is accused of livestreaming the altercation on social media. According to the police, Tyler can be seen swinging the bat at Martin in the video. The outside lighting causes the video to become darker, but the audio is still audible.

According to the arrest report, police claimed that Pringle could be heard in the video “enticing” Tyler to “beat” Martin and “fire her a– up.” The footage shows one gunshot followed by another.
