Virginia Man Abducted During Shoe Transaction Meet-Up in Washington, DC: Two Apprehended

Two persons were detained in connection with the armed abduction of a Virginia man, according to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), which is working with the FBI’s Washington Field Office.

Timothy Williams, 30, and Jaevonn Archer, 30, both of Maryland, were detained and accused of armed kidnapping on April 9.

The victim made plans to meet one of the suspects near 25th and L streets in Northwest Washington, D.C. on February 25, at around 12:30 a.m., in order to sell sneakers. The conversation had been arranged over social media.

The victim was forced into the automobile by the suspects when they emerged from a car brandishing guns. After that, they drove the victim to his McLean, Virginia, home, where they stole his cash and other belongings.

The suspects fled the area after the victim was driven to District Heights, Maryland, according to MPD.

With assistance from the FBI, Prince George’s County Police Department, Fairfax County Police Department, and Arlington County Police Department, the case was still being investigated.
