Locals who observed the “massacre” were horrified when a crazy person driving a Jeep ploughed down over twenty-six birds while on a state beach in Washington.
At about 8 p.m. on Saturday, the unnamed man slaughtered a flock of 25 birds on the sand south of Klipsan Beach, just outside of Long Beach, killing them all. He even managed to get one feathered casualty stuck to the grill of his Jeep Cherokee.
According to police, the same Jeep almost hit two persons on the beach who were strolling their dogs. A few birds that weren’t immediately killed were attempted to be saved by onlookers but failed.
However, wildlife officials reported that witnesses were able to temporarily halt the motorist and take pictures of him, his vehicle, and his license plate.
With the use of the photos, the agency has identified the driver and is making contact with the out-of-state resident. Witness Kim Ledyard McGee stated that the Jeep was flying over the seagulls at a “very high rate of speed.”
She said on Facebook that the man continued to drive past her and her husband until they swerved their beater vehicle sideways in an attempt to stop him.
“After we reamed him out, he still took off at a high speed,” she continued.

Dorothy Howard, a local who lives close to the beach, described the driving rampage as a “massacre.”
“You see a lot of natural deaths, things washed up,” she stated to KPTV. “But, this was just so intentional. It’s horrible. We were in shock.”
Howard claimed that the accused bird killer ran away when she and others phoned the police.
“It didn’t seem he had any remorse for what he did,” Howard stated. “He was just deadpan.”
