A former employee of Tesla is suing the business, arguing that she was wrongfully let go from her job earlier this year. The lawsuit states that the woman was fired in January because she reported harassment and discrimination by her supervisors.

The woman, who spent eight years working at Tesla, claimed that despite her “impeccable” performance records, she was unfairly reprimanded for her performance and made fun of by supervisors for her accent and country of origin.

The woman says she reported how she was being handled “through the appropriate channels,” and she was fired and faced retaliation.

One day before to her firing, the lady claims she was asked to examine a purchase order that “contained improper allocation of Tesla resources” by a member of Tesla’s legal team as part of retaliatory actions.

According to the lawsuit, the woman was fired as a result of knowing about certain irregularities pertaining to the ordering and purchasing of items.

In addition to lost benefits, the woman is suing Tesla for $1 million in damages, lost income, back pay, interest on both the front and back pay.

This Tuesday night’s lawsuit is the most recent one directed at the Austin-based Tesla Giga Texas plant.

July saw the filing of a wrongful death complaint by Victor Gomez Sr.’s family, who stated that their loved one had been electrocuted at work. A legal hearing has been postponed, but Tesla was ordered to save the evidence connected to Gomez’s dismal state.
