The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) reportedly informed the Tampa Police Department on September 28 that photographs of the victim had been placed online. This information was provided by the Tampa Police Department.

According to the findings of the investigation, the images had been uploaded to the website from a place in the northern part of the city.

On Wednesday, investigators from the TPD Special Victims Unit located the adolescent and put her in contact with various agencies, including the Tampa Police Victims Advocate.

According to the TPD, there have been no arrests made as of yet; nevertheless, the investigation into human trafficking is still ongoing.

A different victim was rescued by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday, at which time they also revealed that they had apprehended a convicted criminal for the crime of human trafficking.

“Our detectives are dedicated to protecting our community and ensuring justice is served for victims of human trafficking,” Chief Lee Bercaw stated. “We are also committed to connecting victims with local organizations such as Miniserio Mujeres Restaurdas por Dios, a recent recipient of TPD C.A.R.E.S. funding, to provide assistance to survivors of human trafficking.”
