After one person died in a brawl at a Tampa bar lounge, a man is accused with manslaughter, according to authorities.
The Tally Ho Bar Lounge & Grill, located off North 56th Street, was the scene of a reported disturbance just before 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 2, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators said that after they arrived, they were informed of the altercation in the bar between customers and guards. According to HCSO, one of the guards, Kenneth Washington, 50, attempted to step in but was struck in the head by a customer and lost consciousness.
Washington was reportedly given medical attention by deputies before being taken to a nearby hospital, where he eventually passed away.
Due to the lack of an autopsy at the time of the incident, Joshua Valdibieso, 26, was detained by the sheriff’s office for battery at the scene.

Detectives said on Friday that Valdibieso had a manslaughter warrant issued for his arrest. Valdibieso was taken into custody by HCSO and the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday in Pasco County.
“It’s tragic that a man lost his life due to senseless violence while simply doing his job,” Sheriff Chad Chronister said in a statement.Ā “I commend our deputies for their dedication to justice. Their meticulous work with this case has led to the successful arrest of this violent man, who will now be held accountable for his actions.”
This situation is still being looked into.
