After shooting someone outside the nursing home where she worked, an employee was taken into custody.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said that officers went to the Bristol at Tampa Rehabilitation and Nursing Center on 1818 E. Fletcher Avenue after reports of shots being fired.
Deputies said that when they got there, they found 46-year-old Felicia Johnson McGee and the victim, who had been shot in the arm.
The victim and McGee worked at the nursing home for less than two months, according to the sheriff’s office. After an argument, the victim and McGee left the building and continued to talk in the parking lot. McGee pulled out a gun and shot the victim in the arm while they were talking.
The person was taken to Tampa General Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
McGee was taken to Orient Road Jail after being arrested. She was charged with second-degree attempted murder with a gun and criminal abuse that caused serious physical harm.
