WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — A celebration was held with the intention of putting an end to cancer once and for all.
On Thursday night, the American Cancer Society hosted a fundraiser to support the organization’s lifesaving aim of eradicating cancer as we know it for everyone.
The event included the finest representatives of Palm Beach County’s thriving culinary, drink, and entertainment communities.
The American Cancer Society aims to better the lives of cancer patients and their families through advocacy, research, and patient support; the funds generated at the Fork Cancer event will assist the American Cancer Society achieve this goal.
Everyone who came has either experienced cancer firsthand or seen someone they care about struggle with the disease.
“My father died away from cancer around eight years ago, and my mother just just ended her chemotherapy treatment from six to nine months ago. As a result, I place a high priority on it.
It’s for a really worthy purpose. Unfortunately, cancer has taken the lives of a shockingly high number of individuals.
According to Mikala Merey, who is the Co-Chair for the Fork Cancer Foundation, “I’m not going to be a doctor any time soon, but this is something I can do for the community.”
