TAMPA, Fla. — After spending $50 on a winning scratch-off game in Florida, a guy was able to parlay that $50 into $1 million.
According to the Florida Lottery, a man named Dax Valenti from Temple Terrace, who is 48 years old, purchased a 500X THE CASH Scratch-Off game at a 7-Eleven located at 8002 North 56th Street in Tampa.
After scratching the ticket, Valenti found out he was a billionaire and celebrated his good fortune.
According to the officials, Valenti elected to accept his prize as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $820,000 at the Tampa District Office of the lottery.
A bonus commission in the amount of $2,000 was given to the petrol station where the ticket was sold.
