Positively U's Weekly Outreach: Tampa Nonprofit Provides Produce, Food, and Clothing on Thursdays

Positively U is a non-profit organization that was established in Florida by HIV-positive minority activists and advocates. This community-based organization gives away free food and clothing on the fourth Thursday of every month at its headquarters in Tampa, which is located in Lowry Park Central.

Produce and food, clothing that has been gently used, and sexual health checks are also supplied. People who are interested in attending are not required to present any kind of identification or evidence to prove that they are in need of assistance.

This community group’s mission statement can be found on its website, and it states that they want to “provide meaningful support for persons living with HIV and to prevent the spread of HIV through education, counseling, testing, and case management.”

You may always donate clothes or just straight-up cash to help Positively U continue its purpose of focusing on the community, even if you don’t need the organization’s assistance yourself.
