The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office reported that shots were fired Monday afternoon in the parking lot of a Walmart in Lake Park.
No one was hit, and all the people involved have been found, PBSO spokeswoman Teri Barbara told WPTV in response to a question. Joel Lopez of WPTV said there were a lot of deputies in the area and no one was allowed in the shop.
“I heard about 10 gunshots, one after the other,” Maria Laguardia told Joel Lopez of WPTV. “Rushed past the Walmart. I was afraid because I have two grandchildren.”
Near the same Walmart, at the corner of Congress Avenue and Silver Beach Road, there was a shooting in November. At a Murphy USA gas station in the Walmart parking lot, police found a car that had been left there and had bullet holes in it. They also found a man who had been hurt.
In April, there were gunshots in the parking lot of the West Palm Beach Walmart on 45th Street. No one was hit and no one was hurt.
Anyone with tips about the latest shooting was told to call Crime Stoppers at 800-458-TIPS.
