On Friday morning, Aaron Glee was given a life sentence for the 2020 double homicide he is accused of committing in Tallahassee.
He faced multiple charges, including two counts of first-degree murder.
The tragedy on Monday Road was discovered in 2020 when police were called to investigate reports of a burglary and the destruction of Vicki Sims’ home.
When Sims’s family reported her missing, the Tallahassee Police Department responded. It appears that her flat was broken into and items taken, and that her automobile is also missing.
Sims’s body was discovered on Monday Road, along with that of local protester Oluwatoyin Salau, after a lengthy search.
Salau devoted much of their final time on earth to protesting police violence and voicing support for the Black Lives Matter movement.
The following day, on June 6, 2020, Salau, then 19 years old, reportedly contacted TPD to report a probable sexual battery that had occurred the night before. Salau had tweeted about the sexual assault shortly before she vanished.
The papers also explain how Sims and Glee were acquainted and how the three of them briefly met on June 6—the day Salau vanished.
