On Monday evening about 6:30 p.m., a guy in his 30s who had been shot once in the torso went to a nearby hospital seeking treatment for his injury, according to a report from a representative of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
The parking area of Potter’s House Ministries, which is located at 5119 Normandy Boulevard, turned out to be the location of a crime scene, which the police were able to find.
The JSO reports that there was a fight between two people who knew each other prior to the altercation.
The attacker then hit the victim in the upper torso with the single shot he fired with the weapon he was carrying.
The JSO states that the suspect is still at large. Investigators are currently at the scene, gathering evidence and reviewing surveillance footage.
