BRADENTON, Fla. — According to the reports from the police in Bradenton, a guy in his 31st year died from two gunshot wounds early on Sunday morning.
According to the police, just before 3:30 in the morning, they received a call to respond to the victim’s location in the 700 block of 11 Avenue E. The man, who was 31 years old, was rushed to the hospital, but he did not survive his stay there.
Authorities said that after discovering Bruce Brooks, age 35, who they wanted to interview, he and other witnesses said that the 31-year-old was involved in a domestic argument outside of the home that developed into him yelling at neighbors. The authorities were able to locate Bruce Brooks after they wanted to interview him.
The man, who was then 31 years old, is said to have grabbed a machete, entered the yard of his neighbor, and approached Brooks, who was sleeping in the carport of the house.
The Bradenton Police Department stated in an amended news release that Brooks shot the 31-year-old as a form of self-defense after waking up at that point and seeing the 31-year-old coming at him with the machete. Brooks had seen the 31-year-old coming at him with the machete.
Brooks, who had a previous record for a felony, ran away from the site at first, but he later got in touch with the homicide task team at the police department.
The man, who is 35 years old, was charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
