Chinese Restaurant in Palm City Receives 5 Violations from Martin County Inspectors

WPBN: A Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation inspection on December 2, 2024, found five infractions at Palm City’s China Garden, located at 3114 SW Martin Downs Blvd.

Two high-priority and three basic violations were reported against this Martin County Chinese restaurant, which has a 3.4-star rating based on 208 Google reviews. A follow-up inspection is necessary even if the eatery was still operational.

Clarence Hughes, a recent client, talked about their experience and pointed up areas that needed work.

Did not like the food. Right away the guy in the front was rude. And they need to remodel the place it looks dead.

Food storage problems were identified as one of the high-priority breaches, according to state data. During the inspection, workers fixed the undercooked chicken that inspectors discovered in the walk-in fridge above the cooked noodles. This was reported as a recurring infraction.

Additionally, the inspector admitted that a can of household-grade insecticides was found in the storage space and promptly removed upon noticing it.

Unsuitable shelving in the walk-in units, cooked pork left open in the freezer, and food kept on the floor in the freezer and walk-in cooler sections were among the basic infractions.

While attempting to resolve these problems prior to the follow-up inspection, the restaurant keeps serving its regular menu of traditional Chinese cuisine.
