The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is looking into a mass shooting that took place on Moncrief Road West.
Around 10:30 p.m., police were called to an apartment complex where multiple people had been shot. Five of them were taken to a local hospital with injuries that aren’t life-threatening.
One individual suffered a superficial graze wound but chose not to seek medical assistance for it.
The ages of the victims range from late teens to the middle of their forties. Initial investigations point to an unidentified circumstance as the root cause of the shooting.
There was at least one other person firing their weapons at each other, according to the evidence. There has been no one to come forward as a witness, and the victims are not working with the authorities.
