The Florida Highway Patrol has shared new video and information about a hit-and-run accident that killed someone on Monday night.
At 11:15 p.m., troopers went to the scene of the crash near where Goldenrod Road and University Boulevard meet.
The Medical Examiner’s Office says that the pedestrian was a guy from Orlando who was 39 years old.
Investigators think the man was walking south across the westbound lanes of University Blvd and fell when he tried to cross the median.
Troopers said that the man wasn’t in a crosswalk when he got hit by the car.
The FHP said that after the crash, the driver kept going east on University Boulevard and left the scene of the accident.
Troopers said they need help from the public to find the driver and the car involved in the accident.
Investigators think that a car part found at the crash site could be tied to the car that hit and ran.
The part looked like it came from the left front tire well of a dark blue Toyota Camry made between 2014 and 2017.
Troopers have shared film from the night of the crash that shows the area.
