Exclusive Police Report Reveals Disturbing Pattern of Abuse in Hallandale Beach Murder!

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – Local 10 News got a copy of the police report for the Sunrise man who killed his ex-girlfriend at a Hallandale Beach resort. In the months before the shooting, there were signs that something was wrong.

The suspect, Davon Hilton, was going to trial for domestic violence in December. On Monday morning, police say he set up a trap for his ex-girlfriend and another man and shot both of them, killing the 19-year-old woman and leaving the other man in critical condition.

The shooting happened in the service area of the parking lot at 2602 E. Hallandale Beach Blvd., which is where the Beachwalk Resort is.

Police say that on Wednesday, Hilton, who was 22 years old, shot himself in Plantation while he was being followed by the U.S. Marshals Service.

The police report says that on December 1, Hilton went to his ex’s house to trade care of their now-orphaned 2-year-old kid.

According to the report, there was a fight, and “Hilton threw a closed fist punch with his left arm and hit the top right part of (her) head.”

The mother and baby fell to the ground after that blow.

Then, cops say, he “grabbed her hair and started to drag her.”

In that case, a court date was set for Wednesday.

As of Thursday evening, the guy Hilton shot was still in very bad shape, according to the police.
