Exclusive Shocking Details Emerge in Fatal Car Accident Involving 71-Year-Old Man.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — A 71-year-old man died in a one-car accident after having a “medical episode” behind the wheel.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office says the event happened at 6:44 a.m. on Monday. What the “medical episode” was is not clear.

PBSO says the man was heading east on Palmetto Park Road in a 2022 Ram 1500. He passed the intersection with Lyons Road.

When the medical event started to happen to the man, the car slowed down and turned to the right.

The car then hit a guard rail, which PBSO says only caused minor damage to the front bumper.

PBSO says that people who saw what happened called 911. The driver wasn’t moving when EMS got there, so he or she was taken to Boca Regional Medical Center.

PBSO says that the 71-year-old man was declared dead at 7:18 a.m.

The man’s family hasn’t been told about his death.
