Florida City Road Rage Accused Gunman in Custody, Victim in Recovery

A man from Miami has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly shooting another driver in a road rage incident in Florida City. Jeremiah Sosa, 22, was arrested for attempted felony murder with a firearm following the incident on Tuesday evening near Krome Avenue and West Palm Drive.

According to the arrest report, the victim was shot while standing outside his parked vehicle after the road rage altercation.

At the scene, a spent 9mm casing and blood were discovered in the victim’s vehicle.

Police were able to trace the other vehicle involved by obtaining its license plate number, leading them to an address on Southwest 241st Street.

Sosa was detained when he arrived at that location in the car seen leaving the scene.

Upon apprehension, Sosa was found in possession of a loaded Taurus GX4 9mm firearm.

Additionally, a witness provided video footage showing Sosa shooting the victim and leaving the scene.

The report did not disclose the victim’s identity or details about their injuries.

Sosa was taken to the Florida City Police Department and declined to speak without his lawyer present before being booked into jail.

As per Miami-Dade jail records, Sosa was being held without bond as of Wednesday, and information about his attorney was not provided.
