Florida Mom Charged After Leaving 5-Year-Old Son Alone in Park for Punishment

WPBN: A lady from Florida was charged with child negligence when her kid, who was five years old at the time, was discovered in a park by himself. Witnesses allegedly witnessed the woman depart the site of the incident.

According to an arrest report, Alize Angel Rodriguez, who is twenty years old, was taken into jail several hours after witnesses reported to the police that her small kid was strolling around a park in Miami Beach by himself for around twenty minutes.

It was mentioned in the report that the young child disclosed to the authorities that his mother would leave him at the park as a form of discipline for his behavior.

According to the arrest report, a number of witnesses observed either Rodriguez or the boy. Among these witnesses were those who saw Rodriguez’s mother leave the park and enter a gray Toyota with a male, but she did not bring her son with her.

When Rodriguez was finally apprehended by the authorities, she denied that she was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

The same day that they took her into custody, they charged her with felony child neglect without substantial bodily damage as well as possession of a prohibited narcotic against her.
