When a Dallas Fire Rescue truck went over an elevated roadway on Sunday morning and landed on DART tracks below, four firemen were hurt.
I-345 Expressway and South Good Latimer had an accident at approximately six in the morning. DART reports that a fire truck crossed Southeast Junction and veered off US-75.
Due to the incident, all traffic has been halted on parts of I-345, South Good Latimer, Routh Street, and the DART Rail system. DART services in the Downtown Dallas Central Business District lost electricity as a result of this accident, which caused all train traffic in this region to stop.

While the crew works to repair the damage, service may be interrupted Monday morning and maybe in the afternoon and in the next few days.

According to DART, the investigation is still underway under the direction of Dallas Police, and after it is finished, DART will be able to start the required repairs.
“The crash resulted in severe damage to the DART system which might take a significant amount of time to repair,” DART stated. “During this time, passengers should expect significant delays and should be mindful of signage and directions from DART personnel. ” According to reports, the four firefighters’ conditions are stable.
