Authorities reported that a hairstylist in Tennessee is suspected of bringing a pair of scissors close to a client’s face after requesting an additional $50.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office has charged 31-year-old Mychelle Ray with aggravated assault and wrongful confinement against her will.

Local news station detailed how the alleged assault intensified on September 13 at Memphis’ Luv My Hair Salon, citing the arrest affidavit.

According to the outlet, a woman paid $410 through Zelle and a $50 deposit at the salon. However, the hairstylist reportedly asked for an additional $50 before the appointment concluded.

Ray “became irate and began cursing and yelling” when the consumer questioned the amount, the network said, citing the affidavit.

At one point, the defendant allegedly ordered the customer, “Don’t move, because I got these scissors next to your face,” and, according to the TV station, “B—-, you not going nowhere until you pay me.”
