Heartbreaking Accident Claims the Life of One-year-old, Family Mourns the Loss

TALLAHASSEE, Florida -The god-sister of the one-year-old kid who was killed in a crash at the Pine Ridge Mobile Home Estates stated that she went home on Saturday evening to find chaos and a large number of Tallahassee Police cars in front of her house.

“He was playing on the sidewalk on the scooter and the truck was parked in the driveway,” said LaQuaysha Franklin. “The truck was in the driveway.” “When he pulled off, he hit him and ran him over,” said the witness. “He didn’t look.”

Around 6:30 that evening, according to his mother, Roddrick Webb was riding his scooter behind the truck of his godfather’s brother-in-law when the man placed the car in reverse and backed over Webb on the sidewalk in front of their house. Webb died as a result of his injuries.

Franklin explained, “I grabbed the other kids and went straight to the hospital where he was at.”

The youngster was run over by both the front and rear wheels of the car, and the driver of the vehicle that ran him over took him to the Apalachee Center for treatment. The infant, who was just one year old, passed away as a result of his injuries.

Franklin described the man by saying, “He was so small, but he had a lot of joy in him.” “He was silly, and you could always count on getting a good laugh out of him. ” I was, in all intents and purposes, his sister.”

Franklin stated that the medical professionals were able to determine that Webb had not suffered any broken bones and that he had died as a result of the incident.

Franklin stated that Webb had been living with his godparents and was spending the day outside with friends before he was hit by the truck. Webb was killed in the accident.

“For his short life, he brought a lot of joy and touched a lot of hearts,” said Frankin. “For his short life, he touched a lot of hearts.”

Franklin reported that on Tuesday night, members of Webb’s family and young friends came for a candle-lighting ceremony in front of a monument that was strewn with balloons and flowers by the driveway where he was hit and murdered.

“He was cunning and foolish. He was a joy,” Franklin remarked.

The Toronto Police Department has stated that their investigation into the event is ongoing and that no arrests have been made as of yet.

Franklin stated that a memorial service will be held for Webb on Saturday in Woodville Park by his family and friends and that his funeral will be held on Sunday, May 21 at 3 p.m.
