An investigation into a fatal event that took place on Thursday evening in the Nuccio neighborhood in East Tampa has been opened by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
A caller who dialed 911 at approximately 8:20 p.m. reported hearing gunshots near the 6000 block of North 48th Street.
A young black male in his twenties was located by deputies suffering from critical injuries as a result of multiple gunshot wounds.
He was taken to Tampa General Hospital, but sadly, he didn’t make it.
“There is never a reason for anyone to let a disagreement rise to the level of deadly violence,”Sheriff Chad Chronister stated. “Detectives are piecing together this complex scene and will hold the individuals accountable for their wreckless violence.”
Currently, deputies have found out that the people in this incident were acquainted, and there is no threat to the public.
