JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Early on Saturday morning, deputies from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of shots fired in the Mixon Town neighborhood.

At around three in the morning, deputies from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a person being shot at the intersection of Margaret Street and Forest Street.

The victim was transported to the hospital prior to the arrival of the law enforcement officials at the site. According to the authorities, the victim had a gunshot wound to the lower back. The injuries did not pose a danger to the patient’s life.

The investigation revealed that the victim was a passenger in a vehicle at the scene of the crime when a second vehicle arrived on the scene. According to the reports made by the police, the unidentified suspect fired one shot at the victim.
