An employee at the McDonald’s drive-thru in Lakeland was taken into custody after opening fire on a customer’s automobile early on Friday morning with two weapons.

Chassidy Gardner, 22, allegedly brought a Glock 22 to work and became irate after a customer informed her that she had made a mistake in their order, according to the Lakeland Police Department.

Gardner can be seen on surveillance footage tossing drinks at patrons and opening the drive-thru window. Then one of the patrons reaches inside, opens the window, and hurls cups at the staff.

Before a second patron from the gang hurls a beverage at Gardner, further words are exchanged.

Gardner is spotted leaving toward the parking lot while toting a white tote. The clients informed the police that one bullet struck their after they heard two gunshots.

The arrest document states that Gardner provided several accounts of her side of events.

In the end, though, she stated that she fired her handgun in warning without intending to harm anyone because she feared for her life.
