According to authorities, a guy killed a woman with a hammer after following her inside a QuikTrip petrol station in north Charlotte.
Late on Saturday night, a vicious attack took place at the QuikTrip located on Trailer Drive, close to the intersection of North Graham Street and Interstate 85. Glandina Dixon, 47, allegedly entered the store before using the restroom, according to the investigators.
Police said that 53-year-old Sam Roary, the suspect, followed Dixon into the business and beat her in the restroom with a hammer.
Dixon can be seen entering the store on surveillance footage. Then, you witness a man known only as Roary pursuing her inside. The man went back to his truck and got a hammer a short while later.
Dixon was discovered dead in the women’s restroom, and surveillance footage shows the man trailing her there.
At approximately 11:15 p.m. on August 17, someone inside one of the restroom stalls made a 911 call, prompting the response of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.
After leaving the workplace, the witness claimed to have heard a noise. At that moment, she discovered blood on the floor and Dixon bleeding profusely from the back of her skull. Dixon was declared deceased by Medic on the spot.
One customer stated that, “That’s actually kind of scary. Seeing that people can do that and there are those types of people.”
Roary was only in the restroom for about forty seconds, according to security footage, when he was observed leaving the store, getting into his vehicle, and driving away, according to police.

It was verified by detectives that Dixon and Roary were acquainted. What before the incident is still unknown. After being detained, Roary was accused of murder.
