Motorcyclist Dies in Tragic Suv Crash on Florida's Turnpike

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a guy from Miramar, Florida, aged 33, passed away after his motorcycle collided with an SUV early on Sunday morning in West Palm Beach.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 2019 Kawasaki Ninja was heading south on Florida’s Turnpike in an outer traveling lane at 5:08 a.m. while getting close to the 105.5-mile marker. This location was north of 45th Street and south of the Beeline Highway.

Another vehicle, a 2022 Ford Escape SUV driven by a Weston resident who was 72 years old, was also going south on the Florida Turnpike in one of the outside travel lanes.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the biker failed to monitor the closure rate as it neared the back of the Ford, which led to a collision with Ford’s rear end. The causes for this failure are still being investigated.

The biker kept moving in a southwesterly direction and continued onto and through the outside paved shoulder of the highway.

The rider was thrown off of the motorcycle after it flipped over on him.

Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue personnel arrived at the scene and confirmed the rider’s death there.
