Food Stamps have not yet been delivered by the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) in October. Thanks to the 2025 COLA rise, families of four can now get up to $975, up from $973 last year.

Food Stamp recipients with four individuals in their family can receive an additional 24 dollars year, even with the very slight COLA rise. This is a significant benefit, especially for those living on a tight budget.

October’s SNAP payments

Depending on where you reside, you may only receive one payment or, in the case of Florida and Texas, Food Stamps will continue to be issued through October 28.

Different SNAP benefits if you don’t belong to a family of four

Following the 2025 COLA rise, a single eligible person’s maximum SNAP benefit is $292. This implies that beneficiaries have received an additional dollar, up from $291.

The maximum amount you can get is $536 for a household of two people or a couple, up from $535. Again, this meant that the maximum amounts of the 2025 COLA amounted to just one dollar each month. After COLA, families with three members can now get up to $768, up from $766.

COLA provides up to $1,158 to families with five members. Remember that the previous maximum for 5 was $1,155. For larger families, additional higher payment amounts are:

Household Size
SNAP Payment Amount
6 People$1,390
7 People$1,536
8 People$1,756

Families can occasionally have even more members, in which case benefits could be increased by $220 for each extra Food Stamp recipient in a home.
