No Injuries Reported in West Palm Beach Police Car Collision on 45th Street

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Both lanes of 45th Street are currently closed due to a collision involving a patrol car from the West Palm Beach Police Department. The incident occurred on Monday around 10 p.m. near St. Mary’s Medical Center.

According to the police department, there were no reported injuries, but both parties involved were taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center with minor injuries.

A video captured by a viewer of CBS12 shows traffic moving slowly in the affected area.

As the investigation is ongoing, charges against the driver of the BMW involved in the crash are pending, as stated by the WPBPD.

It’s important to note that the police officer involved in the collision was not responding to an emergency call at the time of the incident.

Drivers are advised to find alternate routes. Greenwood Drive on the east side and Australian Avenue on the west side are currently open for traffic.
